Postgraduate Courses
Postgraduate study in the HPS program is even more eclectic than the teaching program. It leads students to systematically consider the process whereby scientific knowledge is generated and used.
The postgraduate community includes honours, masters and PhD students from every part of the department, including Social Theory and Computer Applications. HPS and Social Theory have a distinguished research record and the academic staff and honorary fellows are able to supervise across a wide range of subject areas. Shared supervision with other departments and faculties is also common.
The School of Social and Environmental Enquiry is able to offer good accommodation for postgraduates in the Old Arts Building, and the School of Graduate Studies provides a wide range of support programs, short courses and writing-up facilities. The HPS program has its own library and postgraduates are integrated into the collegial life of The School of Social and Environmental Enquiry.
